get a full manual valve body if you think the auto will be boring. i have a full manual valve body with trans brake and electric OD delete in my car. the tranny wont shift a single gear up or down without my input via a b&m pro stick

In your case the auto would be boring as your car isn't laying the HP down to take advantage of the automatic. If you got the rwhp above 500 and had good usable torque to match I'd steer you in the direction of the auto. This being said why waste your money on a TKO600 with that little of HP? I assume your planning on going more, but realistically where is it going to peak?

with nitrous i should be at 350-360rwhp and 450-470rwtrq.

in about 2yr's i plan on building a mild 347, goals of 350-375hp to the wheel off nitrous, and a 100-150shot ontop of that.

a tko600 is the choice because i could save maybe $500 if i bought a built T5, but with a TKO i wont have to worry about future mod's.

who know's, i might get crazy down the road, aftermarket block, single/twin turbo'ed, crazyness.....

im making a little more power than you and im still going with at t5. why because a tko is heavier and you will also loose hp to the wheels.

you can get a good t-5 like a super alloy $900 or gforce t5 $1200or a5 $1700(from astro performance) and they all will work great for your application, have better drivability than a tko600...

if you plan on going well past 500whp and 600wtq then you might want to think of something stronger than the trannys listed.

also if you look on astro performance they will tell you recomended torque levels that could help you (in my mechanics opinion those numbers are lower than what the trannys will really hold)

I'm still rockin' a 3550 in my car zero issues.....

At the power levels your listing, the standard trans should work better for you.

i dont really plan on going over the max of 450-500whp and 575-600rwtrq.

the car is a 'vert after all, at this altitude im at, it help's to have MORE power, but this is a 'vert, and its not the best capable car without adding hundrends of pounds of tubing to make it go strait!

what do you mean better driveability?

I beat on my car pretty hard, im worryed about shock to the tranny from launching so hard, sticky tire's, 3500-4000rpm launch on a 150shot makes me think it would SHREAD a T5...

as far as "losing hp" i think i would still GAIN power from this TURD of a AOD i have right now!

you mean to tell me that the amount of power my engine makes is directly related to my transmission choice...you being cereal? please.

you lose more horse power through a automatic then a 5speed.

say i make 215RWhp with a auto....

ill prob make 225-235RWhp with a 5speed.

and to add to that, automatics are much heavyer.
