ya know i was wondering about possible springs, aka valve float, but the car has only 116,000 miles and the e-303 is a mildly aggressive cam so who knows. I plan to do a tune up and all that jaz, thanks for the advise guys. I will keep ya posted if i get it fixed.

check the fuel pressure as well as timing if its been this way since you got it or built it the timing may be off id start there and work your way up.

Thanks man, that is a good idea, i will hook my dmm's rpm clamp up and see what its reading. As simple as it is, i never really thought of that before. In your post you said that it could go over the rev limiter, correct? because that sounds really similar to whats happening with mine.

Well sometimes in my car it would rev fine and the tach would work, making me think that the engine was doing better.. But it was just my tach reading accurate about .000009% of the time.. When it was real cold outside it worked fine.. I got me a nice autometer tach and haven't had any issues since..

Good luck, Richard
