Default Answer a question for me?

The TFI is a little black box under the MAF correct? Well what exactly does it do?

I ask this because when my car is cold, (being december it usually is) I some times hear a click coming from what I am assuming is the TFI although when I looked I thought there were two things that looked similar to each other. Last winter it would do this all the time, and it is obviously affecting the air/fuel because you can hear a very slight rise in the rpm...

So what does this thing do? and is it normal for me to be able to hear it in my car?

Thanks for any help. Just trying to expand my knowlage of the working parts of my car.

Getting a Haynes or Chilton would be a great start

under the MAF are relays. No external(computer module) in that location.
My best advice is to unplug it, check for corrosion, see what stopped working when you unplugged it and start there.

ok. I have the Hays. to be honest I didn't even think to look in it (and right at the moment don't have either manual or car with me) I'll have to check it out when I get home. Thanks for the help!
