Default Underdrive Pulleys?

Do underdrive pulleys add any noticable gain in a stock 5.0. I just ordered a set of aluminum ones. How much of gain can i expect?

where did you buy them? if you spent 100+ on them you should be smacked, you can ebay them for 45 bucks free shipping.

you'll feel a difference, maybe 10-15hp. but your stock alt will not charge properly and you run a chance of your WP not having enough push and have cooling issues.

No noticeable gain in my opinion, but if you can get 2 or 3 here and 2 or 3 there, next thing you know, you will find an extra 10-20hp. Every little bit helps. Anytime you put lighter parts in your cars rotating mass, frees up horsepower to go to the ground. It takes less power to turn less weight.

The car I just picked up has them on it....and I don't like the way it cools or charges. Fixing to start looking for some factory pulleys to put back on it.

you might want to change just the alt pulley back to stock. I hear of others running just the underdrive crank and water pump pulley w/o issues.

If your a budget minded person and are trying to squeeze everything out of your car...then I think there a good buy,but if you dont care about a budget or anything....well the skys the limit and you pry dont have to worry about that 5 hp.

Worth $50 for sure. I run the crank and w/p but not the alt. When I had the alt on, with my ele fan, heater, headlights etc.. it would not charge at 1500rpm and below. I had to keep it reved up. Now with the stock alt pulley I have no probs, that being said I dont have no loud stero or high watt subs thumping either.
