5.0L (1979-1995) Mustang Technical discussions on 5.0 Liter Mustangs within. This does not include the 5.0 from the 2011 Mustang GT. That information is in the 2005-1011 section.

If you do the DSS thing make sure they use total seal rings. My friends 331 gave up 2 or 3 tenths after one season with no power adder. After dropping 70 lbs. the car slowed down by the end of the season.

he wasn't happy. his old 302 had so many mile on it. His idea of a rebuild was replacing the rings and bearings in that old thing. Also i forgot to mention he is running 12:5:1 compression on alc.

My buddy uses the high compression 306 version of this http://www.dssracing.com/Small%20blo...t%20Blocks.htm and it is a high winding lil' monster making 450 crank HP and eats 03-04 Cobras. It may be something to consider if you want to save some money on the 347 route. It will keep most of the street Chevy guys at bay unless you live in a city with a ton of badass cars running around. 450hp in a street fox is pretty scary unless you have the handling suspension, body flex and braking mods to harness it...
