Default So I have some money to spend.....

I am about to come off of 15 months in Iraq and I am coming home with a pocket full of cash. Right now I have a 95 GT with the only stock part on it is the block, crank, pistons....

So, here is the plan for April. I am going to buy another sn-95 GT or a Cobra. I am going to drop a new short block in, cross over the parts, and do some body work. I am looking at doing a Roush body with the side exhaust because it is too sexy not to do.

I need your expert opinions on short blocks. I have been looking at DSS and a few others. I am looking to keep it street legal and still give the chevy's a run for their money. I would like to cross over what I have listed below straight to the short block. The problem is this, I am looking at a 347 and I am not sure if what I have can hang. So please, any advice would be great.

My current mustang has....
Edelbrock lower and RPM upper intake
24lbs injectors and maf sensor
trick flow heads (can't remember model)
70mm tb
ford racing e cam (e303 if i remember right)
NX Wet Shot
3:73 gears
tremec tranny
the list goes on but that is the important ones i think.

Frpp makes a nice FRPP Forged 347.

know a local guy into the 9's with one.

in 2006 when i got back from iraq i wish i knew about 5.0's.

i bought a brand new motorcycle with cash, and ended up losing $4k selling it a year later!

wish i had a 5.0, i would have had something sick.

good luck, dont blow all that money to quick.

You could buy a rotating assembly and have it assembled locally or you could buy one. http://fordstrokers.com/
Also I don't think you can buy the side exxit exhaust anymore.

I will check both of those out. Thank you for the input. As for the forged 347 with frpp, what do you think about the parts that I am looking to croos over?

im pretty sure most of it will cross over.

he has a G-force T5, so your trans should be ok.

im not positive at all, but its a "cheaper" block, and still strong enough to hold insane power.

he has a S-trim hooked up to it, maxed out as much as possible (power pipe, pulley, custom belt tensioner he said really made a difference)

As for the side exhaust, Roush still sells the oval tips. So I am just going to have a shop custom run the pipes from the mufflers out.... Or so the plan goes!

The DSS Racing Super Pro Bullet is a nice peice. DSS can also build you a Boss or Dart based blocks. Their CNC machine work is excellant.

I have found multiple Roush Kits with the skirts. I remember a few years back they sold the skirt and exhaust kit, but I have not seen it in a while. I have only seen it with the full conversion kits.
