whining noise from tranny

Default whining noise from tranny
Just rebuilt my t5 an put in my mustang, there is a whining noise coming from the tranny but goes away when i push the clutch in....any idea? I havent drove it yet, but will soon

Throw out bearing don't make noise when the clutch is engaged. Does it have fluid in it?

MMMmmmmmm sounds so familiar, everytime my brother rebuild his trannys they always whined for some reason. He finally figured out he had the backlash wrong on something, I don't remember what. I would take it back apart, he ended up grenading the trannys that whined

It's funny, the throw out bearing gets blamed for everything doesn't it lol.

I know everytime a tranny makes a noise everyone thinks a throw out bearing.
