Default headlights going out...

just a few minutes ago when I was driving in the dark my headlights started to turn off an on.... I was almost home and all of a sudden my headlights turned off on me for no reason. Then not a second later it turns back on. It did this about 10 times when i was about 1/8 mile from my drive. So I don't know if it would have stopped. Anyone have an idea whats causing this?

could have a bad connection or high resistance at a connection, I'd grab a wiring diagram and trace circuit and look at all connection points for overheated connections/ melted portions in the connector

we can only help you if you give us the details. What kind of lights are they? HID, projector? Was your switch warm?

Good I have seen a neon with silverstars and it burnt up the whole dash harness. You should check your wiring or maybe you have a bad switch.

Well it wasn't happening long enough for me to get enough details. I had to lights on bright and then only the headlights went on and off. When I switched it to dim it stopped for a few seconds then started again. And the car seems to be charging just fine. Also the amp meter shows it straight up right between - and +

It doesn't do this every time I drive it at night. Last time it happened was a couple weeks before christmas
