im thinking about set my engine up like this. to me this sounds like a good setup but and input is good. edlelbrock performer series carb 600 cfm, edelbrock air gap maifold, afr 185 heads(not sure what chamber vol. 72 or 58cc) and prob a e303 cam, because i dont know how much lift i can have and i know that is a safe cam. it will prob just be a 306 engine... does anyone know how much hp this combo will make or if it is even a good combo.
thanks much
thanks much
Weiand X-Celerator SP intake, Holley 650 DP, TFS 190 "fast as cast" heads, custom HR or TLSR cam = 100% daily driver setup (if need be) 306 setup and low 11s ET, 100% N/A performer.

thanks. i will look into that. what kind of cam specs should i look for?

A custom cam is tailored/designed to the specific engine/drive train/user goals, but based on my humble experience and cases out there, it will be a camshaft that will support power brakes and the use of A/C when required. Duration figures @.050" and total valve lift, are simply the tip of the iceberg regarding camshaft characteristics.
