You will need a means of altering timing at the given rpm of launch. Easiest way would be add a MSD set up. The best way is to be add it to a stand alone.

You can use a 6al box with the factory ignition. MSD sells a adapter harness for the Ford TFI system that goes between the coil wiring and the coil. Then off of that harness there are 4 wires that go to the MSD box, it's actually quite simple.

As far as the 2 step, I believe you have to buy the 2 step module separately and that attaches to the box.

Correct, you need to add the 2 step onto an existing MSD box. Really, you should have a good ignition based with a boosted car to start with.

The 6btm would work, I forgot they made a box specifically for boosted applications. 6AL is the first thing that came to mind because that's what I just bought. A full on ignition upgrade would be wise, you don't want your spark to blow out under boost.

Hell, ignition is one of the first things I'm doing to mine. Replacing old parts is always a good idea, then preparing the car for the future is also a good thing to do. I plan on doing a 6al, 2 step, MSD billet dizzy, and MSD wires along with new plugs for my tune up here soon.

Here's an old couple of pics of my current setup. I love the 2 step/stutter box. LOL
