Default port Gt40 heads worth it? and how much?

just met an guy at the gym we bacame buddies,, then he told me he owns an shop that does al of that stuff port and everything... he can give me a good price..

soo is it worth it? and how much to port?? in numbers so i can tell him

just porting won't give you tons more power over stock, set up right the whole combo and it's complement the mods

just have them gasket matched.

even if this guy did the work for like $500 including new valves, you would be better off selling the gt40's for say $300 add the 500 you won't spend and add another 100 to get brand new alum. heads from patriot perf. they flow better, and would save 50 lbs off the front end. just my 2 cents..

yeah but im doing a bigger cam also...
see my sig for the specs of the engine
cam is 218 @0.50 n 224 @0.50 with 512 lift

kay ill get them gasket matched

I'm a big fan of the GT 40 iron heads! ...when ported I've seen them put down some good flow #'s and good results at the track...what's he looking to get?

What's your opinion on Windsor JR. heads if you're in the minority that actually believe iron heads serve a purpose :-) ?

I've heard the build quality, or lack thereof is less then desirable with the Patriot heads.
