HELP!!! Wiring harness
I can't do anything until I'm on break from school.
I have taken the 5.0 out of my 87 gt already. When I put in my coupe I want to leave in fuel injected for the simple fact I don't like carb set ups in later model fox bodies. Plus the motor runs good for the little bit of stuff done to it.
A friend of mine told me I have to pull the WHOLE entire wiring harness out of the car meaning every little wire behind the dash just to be able to run the 5.0 in the 4cyl body. Is this true??? I already have the dash out and there are wire every where and I just don't like the looks of it.
So if anyone that has experience in this department and could in lighten me on this subject it would be greatly appreciated
Thank you for reading

The only harness you need to swap over would be the main engine harness. Its the one that come out of the passenger side at the fire wall. With that, will come the on that runs along the firewall as well.
While you're at it, you might as well tuck the harness. The harnesses that run along the sides will go behind the fenders(you will see two holes large enough to put the harnesses threw on the back of the shock towers), and the one along the firewall can be made smaller. You remove the tubing its in, re-wrap it in tape. It will hide right under the pinch weld on the firewall.

Good deal! My buddy told me sh** and I just like I didn't think I would need ALL of the wiring out of the car. I will have to try the wire tuck thing just to make it that much cleaner looking Thanks man.

Tucking a fox body is cake.. Ive tucked a few Honda's, and let me tell you.... Id welcome the ease of a fox. There is NO cutting, or extending wires like you get with Honda's.
Search on here for wire tucking, and engine bay clean up. I posted a good link that will give you an idea of what you're going to do. It is a Honda link, so don't get scared by the work involved. In the same post, you will find AlmostStock helping out as well. I think he may have posted a link to his tuck as well. You will see how easy it is, and wonder why more people don't do it.
