He did mention the fact he wanted to get a Dart block for his build. That's why I suggested a 363cid build. That short block, with some nice heads and custom valve train from CI or FTI. His rwhp goals are very achievable. Dart Block! Dart Block! Dart Block! Yeah what MJR said!

the main reason i have been lookin at the dart blocks is because of the 4 bolt caps and the splayed 4 bolt caps on 2,3,4. compared to the price of the new boss 302 block and the fact it is just a 4 bolt 2,3,4 journal no splays, i was strongly leaning toward the iron eagle.

Iron Eagle block is 4 bolt main on all 5 mains, the sportsman is 4 bolt on 2-3-4 main, boss block is 4 bolt main on 2-3-4 and the world man o war blocks are 4 bolt on all 5 mains. The boss block is splayed, I am building 2 engines with this block now. I have built engines using all 3 blocks, I like the man o war and dart then the boss block in order. Any 3 will handle all your going to throw at them, unless we are in excess of 1200hp, then we start with a clean sheet of paper and an open wallet.

With a 347 what would be the best heads to run on that set-up. Right now im runnin twisted wedge heads and a complete trickflow top end on my motor now. I love the heads im just wonderin if they will be able to flow how much i need them to to make that much power. i know 10-15 lbs isn't much but im sayin 10-15 lbs of restriction to flow. I want this motor to flow what would be equal to 20 or more lbs. my outlook on it is that boost is just a restriction to airflow and thats how it is measured.

Even at WOT i have a feeling it is going to take a long time of test and tune to get it set-up right and ill also have a 2 way adjustable QA-1 shocks in the rear so ill be able to get the launching problem under control. this is going to be a project in the making. im going to make everything bullet proof before i even think about dropping a motor like this in because of the fact it will just eat up the car.
