5 speed car?? When i was manual I had ET Streets and I would launch at 5k and let em spin i would have the tire pressure around 12,13 pounds...my 60 ft's were 1.68's, it was awesome...I wouldhave never though that spinning the tires would be good....but it kicked a$$....dunno what your working with though.

yeah its a 5 spd ive got some et street radials but no wheels to put them on im tryin to find some ponys wheels local that i can use cuz the tires are 16s

So far what I did for weight reduction

A/C delete
Power Steering delete (flaming river set up)
Aluminum Radiator
Alt only set-up
Aluminum heads
Aluminum Intake
No sway bars
Tubular K Member
Tubular Control arms
Front Coil overs
Power brake delete
Optima battery in trunk
manual windows (factory)
No electric locks (factory)
Aluminum driveshaft
Rear suspension swap
Lighter wheels/tires
50% weight reduction in exhaust
Probably 20 lbs of other usless junk under the hood
No spare/jack

Things that add some weight.
9 inch Currie rearend +24 pounds
Electirc fuel pump and lines
Battery cables (rear mount)
Subframe connectors
