Default motor build

hey every1, i havnt been here in a long time. I finally may get some work done with my stang. 86 hatch. I am looking into doing a rebuild but goin supercharged. I need to bring the compression down to around 8:1. I was going to keep it on the same 302 no bore or stroke. Ive seen the formulas to get ur compression ratio but it needs actual measurements. so would a flat top piston bring me down to 8:1 or close? any help thanks

also forgot to mention i will be switching to carb and running a roots style charger.

so your gonna run the weiand 174??, what heads you plan to run??? a dished piston is the first place to start but depending on the cc of head you choose will reflect what cc dish is needed on the piston
