my smog pump seized about 3 miles fromhouse, decided to drive it home broke belt, then just wrestled it home. will i need to retime it and whats the chance of water pumpdamage it did over heat the radiator and spewd for about 40 ft. it a 94 mustang gt. is there anything else i should check?thanks for any help and i just ordered the smog pump delete kit.

hopefully you didn't blow the head gaskets, what you did was stupid!!, with a broken belt no water circulates,anyway what's done is done, put a new smog pump on and new belt and bleed the cooling system and if it doesn't overheat after repair then you may have dodged a bullet

mine seized up a few days ago as i was pulling the car out of the garage to wash it belt never broke it just rotated across the pulley and just started to smoke. hope nothing bad happened to your motor

yeah i know it was stupid but had to get it off the road for a reason. it stayed in the high normal range but it overflowed

repair it and then bleed cooling system , system will be bled when you have good heat

heater full blast and overflow off right ? how do I fill the coolant while its running or doI shut it offandlet itcool?

I leave the radiator cap off when bleeding and add coolant as needed, I actually hve this special funnel that adapts to the radiator neck.

pull a heater hose off and fill the rad til the antifreeze runs out of the hose.
