Default Explorer intake for SN-95

Should i get a pre 2/97 intake or should I get a 3-97 intake or newer? I know the pre 2/97 intake have the act hole in the #5 runner which I don,t need but I could plug it off. I read somewhere that the 3-97 and newer lower intake does not have provisions for a internal egr. Which one should I buy?

i knew the egr bolts on to the elbow but idk if I needed the earlier intake or not, I don't want to have a spare intake. What is a internal EGR? Also I found a intake from a 98 for $125.

the foxes use an internal style egr... instead of having piping on the outside of the motor, the EGR is actually IN the casting

Nothing unless there is a hole for the act, which would have to be plugged.
