I have stud girdles on my 408 solid roller motor and its comming out soon so I can rip out the power steering and go with a manual rack. But while its out I am going to stick a probe industries main girdle on it. For me its a piece of mind whether it works or not I like the idea of a little extra metal holding things together.

Like portmaster I am hoping that if I do grenade the block the girdle gives me that extra time to shut the car down before I do some really horrific damage to some very expensive parts.

They help keep things together....... when they break.

I wouldn't keep spraying a 250 shot if you're already running 600HP and over 500TQ on that stock block or else you're gonna be back here eventually posting a picture like Joel posted.

use the same what? if your talking about a valley girdle then yes.if your talking about your block yes but if you got the money it is always a good idea to get an aftermarket block if you are going to put out alot of power the stock block will work but you never know when it is going to let go i guess i like to gamble
