Elec Fan wiring, will it work?

I am trying to wire a Taurus fan for both high and low. From what I know about wiring, I came up with this. Will it work? If it wont any input on how to change it would be great. Thanks in advance. Any info you need ask and I will give you the answer.

you have the right idea but it looks like you have the two relays wired different. terminal 86 on the low relay runs to the fan but terminal 86 on the high relay runs to the switch

I read on a different forum that you have to have a diode between the power and ground or you can prematurely burn the fan motor up. Where would I put this diode? I am not a wiring genius so i need some help please. thank you
