Question Fan clutch and battery question

I changed my fan clutch today it has been bad for sometime. i wasn't getting cold a/c heat and my car was overheating (though i did make sure there was coolant there at all times) because of it. So I tested it out and it worked great i got heat and cold a/c but as soon as i turn on the a/c i see the battery voltage go down, my father said because the battery didn't have to run as hard because of the bad fan clutch whereas the new one takes more power to have it spin. My alternator is brand new and the battery is in good shape (or so i believe) is this a common problem when you change your fan clutch? I'm going tommorow to get the alternator and battery tested to see if its them but anyone ever had this problem?

What year is the car? A mechanical fan clutch has nothing to do w/ the charging system. Or do you have an electric fan and are calling it the wrong name?

The fan clutch affects nothing in the charging system. Time to upgrade the charging system

what does it do when you select the defroster? does it drop when you have the fan on high and the selector on say vent?
you could also have a clutch going in your a/c

does it have under drive pulleys on it? they can mess with the charging system at low RPMs. and the Fox charging system is less the par even when new.

Sounds like the alternator isn't charging at all. The fan clutch would have nothing to do with it. Just because the alternator is new doesn't mean it's charging and the fact that it is new tells me that the charging problem was an issue before the fan clutch went bad. It's time for a charging system diagnosis.
