Default convertible top and frame swap, possible?

is it possible to take the convt frame, with the top and glass attached, and swap it completely as one piece onto another car? the top is coming from a 88 4cyl lx, going to a 88 5.0 gt (if it makes a differance)

if so how hard would it be?

on a side note, i may have posted this twice. i apologize if i did. i hit a few wrong buttons the last time i was writing this up

Yes!!! That is what I did. Found a top frame with top and rear glass on Ebay for $150 plus $150 shipping. Took a couple hours to install. Go for it!

Sure can. The window section attaches to the main top with a zipper on the top side and bolts to the car at the bottom. You should have no problem making the swap! Mine didnt leak a drop .
