Tires
#11
My MT drag radial tires dead hook when at the track. Cut a 1.67 60'. I don't have to heat them up that much to get them to hook either. I can still burn down when I want to. I flashed my converter the other day off of idle on a way less than perfect subdivision street and it hooked hard enough it shifted the way the car was traveling and the tires were cold as ice. My friend who had help me work on the car a couple of different times had never ridden in it since I finished it. When I flashed the converter, he had a water bottle held out in front of him and it sit him back hard enough that his bottle hit him in his teeth.

The 555R is way better than a regular street tire even without heating them. They are no MT but they can last over 10k miles pretty easily with regular driving.

nittos are just a tire to daily drive in if you like to mess around here and there if you want to get serious get some mickey thompson drag radials....when i had nittos i had to do a long 2nd gear VHT burn out to get them to hook on the street...now with my mickey i do 1st gear VHT burn out and it will dead hook ill lauch at 5k after it bogs down ill hit the unit lol

i cant vouch for the 555r out of experience but i have rode with buddys that hate them because on the street when it came spotlight time with the car next to them they would just roast i mean im sure they are better than a street tire when heated but as cold for cold i would have to rate them no better than a street tire but like i said i have never acually drove a car with them on so i cant give a good opinion
