#E7TE question
I put some Crane Energizer Roller Rockers on my '82 GT yesterday, and I noticed that the heads aren't original.
The heads have a "T" stamped on each corner, and the dates on the heads are:
Driver's side: 7J29 (September 7th, 1987)
Passenger side: 6M18 (December 6th, 1986)
The heads are not a matched pair, but I'm assuming here that they are both #E7TE heads because of the "T" on the corner, and they are both dated within the production year of the '87 heads.
Can anyone confirm this?
I didn't want to take the heads off to check the actual # on the bottom.
These have Pedestal mount rockers obviously, but are there any other clues that would tell me what they are without taking them off the motor?
Thanks guys
-Joe

Someone just upgraded the heads at some point. It's not odd the buy a set of heads from a machine shop that have differant dates that came from two differant engines but still match. There is a guy in Florida who builds nice E7 performance heads (Thumper performance I think) and the chance of getting a set that came from the same engine are slim. I'm sure they are E7's
