porting shall be done, and the air gap honestly looks more reasonable RPM wise (i highly doubt the engine will ever go over 6 grand, let alone go to 8500 [Victors Powerband is 3500-8500]) okay ill look into a 750 and the air gap

thanks guys, also, I believe a good custom cam is Camshaft innovations, correct, IIRC theirs run about 300, thats a little pricy, but if were saving on the intake, its doable, plus someone with a stocker will want the E303

I am just curious why the E303 cam is a bad idea on a 331 stroked motor? It seems to have a decent RPM range or is this just on non EFI motors?

the valve events of the e-cam are such that a 331 will never reach its full potential, rpm range does not determine what make a cam good for one vs another build

Custom cam is the best way to go, and it's really only $40 - $50 more than a good Comp Cam. Only thing I wanted add is you'll need to budget more. You'll need the matching springs and spring seats (Jay Allen will let you know what you need, and provide them at an additional cost). My CI cam, springs, spring seats ran $525 shipped to the house. It's the right thing to do, and will maximize you cam's output.
