i am planning to purchase a 4 inch cowl bolt on hood for my 91 gt. and i was wondering if i should buy a set of hood pins as well, seeing that the hood isnt the stock steel material. just give me some insight

i like hood pins the look of of them and it is a very good idea to use them on a glass hood

If you would like to retain the cowl panel, possible windshield and undamaged roof that you have now, it would be in your best interest to get the hood pins. A good friend of mine had his hood fly up on him and did a butt load of damage. My hood flew up on me the first time I drove the car after finishing the driveline install. It tore up all kind of things.

I don't run them and never will. Problem free for almost 5 years. If you know how to properly install the hood and adjust the both the main and secondary latch, there is no need for them. It's your comfort level though.
