ok so I have no experience with nitrous and cant afford a supercharger. My car is a 87 gt with 90,000 miles on it. I have owned it for 2 years with no problem and have taken very good care of it. The kit I'm looking at is a zex wet 125 shot. I need this engine to last for hopefully... atleast 3-4 years untill I have enough saved for the engine I want. I want more horsepower and nitrous is the only feaseable means. I have a $1,500 approx. budget. So how would you go about this set up?

1. tune or no tune?
2. bigger fuel pump?
3. bottle warmer?

Or just the basics and let her rip?

No tune needed. Just retard the timing before hand and you will be good. I would however think that the fuel pump should be upgraded to a 190 or 255. You should be fine with the injectors, guessing that the rest of your engine is stock.

You can pick up a Zex kit for much cheaper on eBay, the window switch is easy to install, and the bottle warmer is nothing really to hook up, the job is basically all wires.

The system is adjustable so start wit the 75 and see how it goes.

you dont typically need a tune for a wet kit. Mine ran like a motha with a 75 shot, untuned.

but if you insist on getting a nitrous tune. Dont let a company do a mail order chip. Find a shop that will actually put the car on some rollers and get a real tune

you guys rock! So im going with
1. 100 wet zex shot no tune
2. NGK TR6 SPARK PLUGS MEDIUM-COLD
3. bottle warmer
4. 255 lph fuel pump
5. zex rpm window switch
6. purge
7. timing retard

Total $1088
This post saved me about $1200, and I'm feeling a little more comfortable with my desicion. I cant thank you guys enough! Hopefully I'll have it all togather this weekend. Then comes the hard part...waiting for the weather to clear so I can go rip it up.
