Default Convertible Owners, I need help

Hey guys, I am almost done redoing a 93 convertible. My problem is the windshield post rubbers. I bought new ones and they are in, but something isnt right. The doors are shutting really hard because the rubbers from the post seem to be out so far. Its been over a year since I took the old crappy ones off, and really cant remember how they looked. Seems like they can only go in one way. I'm wondering if the place sent me the wrong rubbers or something.

Can someone post some pictures of the windshield post rubbers how they look on the car? I also need to see how the windshield post rubber meets the door weatherstrip rubber. Thanks for any replies.

This is a 1993 5.0

are you referring to the "A" pillar rubbers? from my experience in just replacing all rubber on my 86 vert... everything seems to close hard. it's just that everything is new. did you buy the car new in 93? that's probably how it was back then. if it's aftermarket stuff, i've found out that they don't seem to be just quite right.

give it a few days until the rubber settles down, mine did that, in fact I had to slam the doors, but now all is well

I just got the car last year from a police impound, Ive been restoring it (to what I can afford) for over a year. Yes the A pillar rubbers are after market. The driver door I can deal with, but the passenger door I really have to slam hard. There is so much pressure when it is shut that I have to push the door in just to get the handle to release the door from the striker. I've tried adjusting the window but no luck. If I put the window down and inch, it shuts fine. Guess I have to keep messing with it. Thanks.

i think mine are original and aren't in the best shape, but they really don't leak at that spot, just other spots
