Fault in YOUR 5.0 ?IAT/ACT Intake Air Temperature/Air Charge Temperature Sensor
#12
well you are correct, I drilled a 3/8 hole, then banged the 1/2 extension through my CAI.
The new sensor screwed in very snug, no leaks. Its raining, Ill let you know how she feels.
The idle also feels stronger, this only took me like 2-3 mins,
CAKE WORK

ok today I took her to work, and after the car got warm, I floored it .
Wow, it hangs in the upper rpms longer and pulls harder than it ever has before!
This is a GREAT mod for the 5.0
So , I'm assuming this sensor is VITAL to THE ECM,
The power band feels like it should, and I can hang in the upper rpms, where you would normally be lucky to get to 5,000 in first, for a very short time,
but after this I picked up some rpms 380-400ish and it stays there as long as you have the car floored almost.

I just removed a few, they are in good shape, I believe the main enrichment sensors are
The MAF, & O2 Sensors, the performance feels great, but goes to show a tune can really change things if you have one done, besides this mod.
The issue is the ACT receiving heat soak and the ECM trimming the fuel cutting back performance and revs when warm.
The other issue, is gunk getting on the sensor over time causing it not to read air properly and this location best suits it.
This mod has not caused ANY issues AT ALL. Tried and TRUE
