Default one last check (nitrous)

ok Heres what I have

1. 100 shot wet kit (zex) with RPM window switch, wot switch, bottle warmer, pressure gauge, purge
2. replaced stock fuel pump for 255 lph pump
3 colder plugs (NGK TR6 SPARK PLUG)
4. New plug wires
5. Timing set at 8 degress btdc

Am I missing any saftey features, do I need any ignition upgrades other than colder plugs and wires? Sorry but I have everything all in place and just am feeling a little nervous about the first run! Engine longevity is still of some importance to me as I wont be able to afford the engine I want for a couple more years.

high octane fuel.

highest pump gas you can get, or a bit of race gas at the track.

8degrees base is VERY low, thats 150shot+

but if you wanna start with 8* and work your way up i understand.

ive run 12-14* fine with 100shot (sprayed it on the dynot at 19*base on accident one time too, haha, only a minor gain in power, im lucky it dident blow)

you can run a bit more timing than now that you could a few years ago...

God Bless Ethanol mixed fuels (god damn the mileage drop)

true.

between 14* and 19* the gain was 8-9hp at the wheel if i remember right.

id much rather stay on the safe side at 14* for a 100shot, we only have 91octane pump gas at this elevation.

MSD makes some great stuff. maybe even consider getting a ignition box to make sure your ignition is up to the task
