Help, 94 Mustang Front seat removal.
Help help help!
Hi.
I've just been out in the garage trying to get my 94 Mustangs power front seat out. With no joy. The seats forward and back function is not working, and keeps blowing fuses.
I've taken the two front nuts off, taken the two star bolts from either side, but the two rear are obscured by the frame, and really hard to get to.
I've watched a youtube video on how to do it, with those fasteners out it should push forward and make these two easy to get to. But oh no mine won't move forward at all. Is there any other way . I've just had a scissor jack on the with some wood thinking it might be just jammed but that didn't move it either.
Why is nothing ever easy. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks .
Paul.

I had a similar problem once , not blowing fuses but the seat would not move forward or back. I used the plug from the up/down moter and plugged it into the forward/back moter , then used the up/down switch to move the seat forward to acess the rear bolts. It took me some fishing around under the seat to locate the correct moters and wires to use but it worked quite well.
If your blowing fuses you may well find that some wires have gotten pinched and are shorting out under the seat. Raise the seat to its highest point then get a flashlight to look under it .
