Clutch Pedal Issues "HELP"
Hi I drave a 89 Stang LX and i just did a a complete clutch swap, my car has a aluminum clutch quad, adj clable,Ram HDX clutch. Now the problem is that when i press my clutch to start/shift gears the pedal dosent go any where near the floor i cant start the car from inside cause the the stupid nutral safty switch is to close to the floor. Before i changed the clutch i could push the cluch pedal to the floor just about now im not getting close enough.
Is it just a matter of clutch adjustment or what also when I first started my adjustment I couldent push the cluch at all than I adjusted the bolt on the cable at the bellhousing and it loosend up im not sure if the cable was just to tight at the bellhousing. Can anyone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My question is how far i can go with the bolt at the bellhousing at first i started with the bolt closer to the trans that i tightened the bolt closer to the engine block and the pedal loosened up i have know idea how far i can go before the TOB preloads the pressureplate too much i can only press the pedal so far before it wont go any farther its close i think i can go maybe a 1/4 inch farther i hope by the way there is absolutly no slack in the cable how much can i get away with
