the self adjuster was not working-Found an article on how to adjust if this is not working. On the quadrant there is a plastic hook shape piece. In the article it says to push up on this( toward firewall) I found this piece to be fragile so I dont recommend pushing up on this. Instead push up on the solid piece it is connected to until it clicks once. This is usually all it takes(worked for me) The ticking sound from my loose pedal stopped. So if your on a budget and cant afford a quadrant and cable at this time this will eliminate your problem(self adjuster not working) The link is.
