Default Clutch adjustment

I have a stock 95 Mustang Gt with the T5 and self adjusting clutch mechanism. I pull up on the pedal it releases but doesnt seem to adjust anything. I just want to get a little slack out of the cable. My pedal makes a little ticking noise when not depressed I can just slightly push it(maybe a 1/4 inch)and the noise stops. The car shifts fine and the the clutch operates properly. Is there any other way to take a little slack out and bring the pedal down slightly than the self adjuster.

You are "in between teeth" right now. Not loose enough to engage the ratchet mechanism but too loose to preload the bearing.

Either wait, buy and adjustable set up or ignore it.

Thanks. I will probably just wait until the clutch goes out and replace the cable and quadrant with adjustable one then.

why wait till the clutch goes out.... you can do the cable, adjuster and quad swap in an hour
