Hi I just received a 94 mustang GT from my grandfather who isn't going to be around much longer so I want to keep it around. The problem is it's so slow I cant stand it, he clams he had cobra heads and cam put in it but I don't think so. Does anyone know how to tell what heads they are, what numbers to look for?

gt -40's have 3 bars located at front of heads and gt-40 stamped in the valvetrain area under valvecovers

Sounds like the GT needs a tune-up!

sticky tires + 4.10s + nitrous will fix that

i think its time for a tune up also. once you do that. then consider some mods.

do spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, check the fuel pressure. check the tranny fluid if its an auto and then get back to us if its still slow.

Well you know it's probably not as slow as I think I'm just used to driving around 500-900hp cars. I'm not looking to make this car as fast as them I just want it to be in the low 13's to 12's rang on motor.
