Default Header fitment problem

I have BBK Equal length shorties and the header on the driver side touches my steering linkage. If anyone is running these headers what can I do to solve this problem? Thanks for the help. Also if you know of anyone on here running these you can refer me to would help to.

dimple the header. Dont stike the header with a hammer. Lay something on the header and strike that with the hammer. Sometimes you have to dimple a header to clear. Make sure your mounts are in good shape before you do. It would be a shame to dimple a header because one of your mounts were bad. Having to make small dimples won't affect performance to any noticable degree.

DONT dimple the header until you change your motor mounts out

I just ran into this problem using brand new motor mounts at the same time the BBK's are going in. Your best bet is to try shimming the mount with a couple of washers.

Follow the advice in the order above.

I think I said not to dimple the headers until he checks the mounts. Shimming the mounts between the motor mount and K frame mount can cause it to tear out the of the frame mounts. The motor mounts need to sit flat on the frame mounts.

My motor mounts are in good condition. I know this because I had to raise the motor in order to get the passenger side header in. But I will go ahead and test fit a couple of mounts to see if makes a difference. Lets say it doesn't, should I shim or dimple the header? I would rather dimple the header, but what would be the best fix if new mounts don't work? Thanks for the help.

Me personally, I would shim the mount before dimple the header
