Question Do I need a new water pump!?!

My heat isnt working. And I noticed some anti-freeze dripping from the botom of the front of my engine.. But I cant seem to see exactly where its leaking from.. Since I cant get under my car right now. (tires are frozen to the ground from sitting all winter long..)

Does that mean my water pump went?

Thanx

maybe your heater core isnt good any more thats probably why heater aint working and leak could be just a bad gasket

you need to look at the weep hole on the underside of the pump and see if coolant is coming from there, if so yes you'll need a new pump and most likely you don't have heat cause if it went low on coolant and now has an air pocket in the system, you'll have to fill up the system and bleed it out

Yes I checked my coolant. And the coolant is maybe like a quarter of the radiator low/down.. And none in my reserve tank.. I'm gonna try to free my car from the ice tomorrow. So I can get under it..

You should be able to feel under the snout of the water pump for it being wet or have a green slime on it if if has been leaking.

take the cap off, start the car, let it run till the t-stat opens and just keep topping it off.

I neglected to say that this all happened the day I parked my car for the winter.. (I didnt think it mattered "when it happened") But now that I think of it... Maybe it does!?! Since I dont see any leaks under the car from where it was sitting.. But that could be from the low coolant!?!

Thanx
