Default BBK O/R H to BBK Shorty exhaust leak

on my 95 gt i have an annoying exhaust leak at the header on the pass side where it bolts to the H pipe. everytihng is tight and has been removed and put back on again and tightened and still leaks. is there anything i can put on it to try and stop the leak? some type of gasket?

thanks

i don't think it has a gasket all i am familiar with is its like a ball and pops in place. its kind of a dumb question but are the bolts to long and bottoming out? and are you sure its popped in place correctly?

yeah it is just the ball style setup. no the bolts are not too long at all for it. everything is good and tight and it still leaks

take the H pipe off, sand out the inside of the collector to remove any rust, do the same with the ball on the header, then put some red rtv silicone on it and bolt it back together.

let it dry for atleast 6 hourd
