!!!UPDATE!!! Headers Glowing Red @ Idle
Hello to everyone, I want to thank all of you who responded to my last thread. I'm a newbie at this so I went out and purchased a digital timing light. First time I've ever done this. I Pulled out and checked the plugs and they were loaded up with carbon. I cleaned them up and checked the timing. Timing was, If I read right was 42.4deg. adv. so I backed it up to about 8.8 deg adv. she is running alot better and she has woken up. Temp on motor is back to normal now. Is 8.8 deg adv ok or is there another number I should be working with? Thanks Again

by the way, you want it to be 10 degrees BTC(before top dead center) not ATC(after top dead center) , thought I would throw that in there because you said you were new at this and I didn't see anyone else say it. Also, the timing you said was REALLY out there. I don't claim to know a lot about motors or cars in any means but, once you get things running good again if you notice your timing starting to slip back you may want to check your timing chain.
