Default lowering springs causing problems?

hey guys, I took my 95 mustang to a brake and suspension specialist today because there was a weird clunk when I would brake in reverse and it clunks the first time I stop forward, after that it doesn't make any noises. The shop said its from my rear lower control arm bushings and that the lowering springs caused them to have problems. I was never too much into lowering cars but I've never heard of anyone having problems like this from lowering springs. Could it be primarily from the lowering springs or could it just be time to change the bushings anyway? has this happened to anyone else?

thanks in advance for any advice

you increased the amount of suspension bind that is present with the 8.8's 4 link setup.

replace your stock control arms with some good ones, and the noise should be gone

ok, which would you recommend for a normal daily driver? I was thinking either these
http://steeda.com/products/steel_low...ntrol_arms.php
or should I go with a kit like this
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

should I replace both upper and lower control arms or just the lower control arms? I've heard that changing upper control arms is mainly to fine tune pinion angle but I don't know much about suspension

Sounds like what brake pads do too if they don't have the spacers installed, they slide in the caliper.

ok, thanks. but would it really be worth it to change them or just get new bushings? I'm just trying to make sure I'm not going to buy something I don't really need.

what spacers are you talking about? The only thing I can think of is the ant rattle clip but I don't see how that would make it have that noise.
I changed the brake pads and front rotors a couple weeks after getting the car I replaced one of the rear calipers and still have to replace another but unless one of the bolts was really loose or missing I don't see how it could be from that and I went threw that when I started hearing the noise.
