Default stalling at idel

ok I recently installed mas unequal shorties an off road h pipe and flowmaster catback. MY car is stalling frequently at idel. I did not delete the smog system I just disconnected the hose and removed the metal tube that went to the factory cats. I checked my tps voltage output with the key on engine off and it is 1.5 volts, do I have a bad tps? What else should I check. Bad iac? Thanks

I would try cleaning or buy a new IAC , but how was your car idling before you did upgrades

its an 87 gt...sd. It was having occasional stalling at idel issues last fall before I put it up for the winter, but its much more frequent now after the exhaust swap. I deff. notice it more when smog pump is running but it is never quite ideling perfect at the moment. I am going to remove the smog system when I have a little free time to spend on the car. Is it normal for the voltage output on my tps to be as high as 1.5 volts at idel? Thanks again for all your guys help!! I will try cleaning the throttle body and iac and see if this helps.

does the car stop stalling once its warmed up? Could just be your timing is set too low. My 89 GT will instantly stall unless I rev it a little until it's warmed up.

ok so I took off the iac and ran about a half can of carb cleaner thru it, there was a lot of crude in there.. The car does idel better, but it still stalls right after starting if I dont give a quick blip of throttle, then it is fine afterward untill next time I shut off the engine and restart.

check the fuel pressure and see if it holds in koeo mode and if it's fine, try a good seafoam treatment......carbon acts as a sponge and may soak up the fuel charge on initial start up and lean it out enough to cause a stall.
