Unhappy weird noise, car knocking? so lost!

hello peeps! i am a newbie so bare with me. I have just bought a hatch 5.0 auto about 3 weeks ago. car is OK but the engine sounded SUPER healthy and ran quite nice so i picked it up for 2200. mods are intake, exhaust with no cats, bbk headers and cams. dont know which ones.has a shift kit also. well now my the car makes a clunking noise when i accelerate past 2k rpms. and by god is it loud. and i hear a knocking noise by the head/ manifold area. the car has lost id say 30 hp or so. doesnt run like it did before. oil pressure gauge drop below the red at idle then goes back up after driving? and after driving it for over 10 or 15 mins the car just slugs around, no power, and might i say im getting probably 5mpg. i really love this car but what could be the issue? i dont wanna sell it cuz i know its potential runnin healthy. any1 in so cal hawthorne area? or any suggestions for a kid on a tite budget but will pay to play if he has to. please help

Have you checked your oil level?

If your dropping oil pressure at idle thats a sure sign of worn engine bearings.

If your getting 5mpg check your plugs and report back what it looks like.

Sounds like its rebuild time.

Would have to hear the noise to tell for sure. Buy the way you decribe it you may have broke a lifter. It would cause the noise, power loss and loss of oil pressure. It's hard enough to diagnose when you are standing over a running engine and nearly impossible over the internet. Could be a simple as a broken rocker arm or oil plug popped out

my car is acting very similar to this i pulled onto the road the other day and at around 2000 rpm the car starts to knock very loudly and at first i thought something got wrapped around the drive shaft but at higher rpms it goes away i cant burnout anymore in first and when i put the transmission in overdive it runs through the gears slowly my car is all stock though

im gonna go with ahittz here. Sounds a lot like some wiped out main bearings with the loss of oil pressure at idle and the knock. probably vibrated like hell too doesnt it.
