Default h/c/i 302 to a 347?

hey guys had a quick question. what would a h/c/i 302 run in the 1/4 with stock suspension. and also would a h/c/i combo bolt right up to a 347 stroker? i know the bore is bigger in the 347 but i didnt know if that effected the heads or cam?

Your question is too broad to give a definite answer. There are so many h/c/i setups for a 302, you have to be more specific about what heads, cam, and intake because the power level and quarter mile time can vary greatly.

As far as your other question goes though, the h/c/i to the 347 would be interchangeable.

If u want a budget build the gt40 stuff would work. If you can find a late 90s explorer you could go with the gt40 heads, and gt40 intake or the gt40p heads and intake. Cam its really about personal choice, stock bottom end can only support up to about 550 lift (or around there can vary from car to car) though before you run into piston to valve clearance problems. However, if you went to a 347 I think most aftermarket stuff usually support up to about 650 lift. Problem with the p heads is you have to run special headers though. Or you could just try to find like some used trick flow heads and use them with the gt40 intake. They would make a lot more power, and I bet you could find some used ones for like 500 bucks.

a good quality 302 h/c/i package would choke a 347...

and the bore on a 347 is only .030 larger than a 302 (its the same as a 306)

there are too many variables to quote 1/4 mile times based on an H/C/I package... ive seen people drive stock stangs to mid 15 second passes... and i know someone whos stock GT kept up with my cobra, and ran ow 14's

a good combo will run you around $2400 if you go with a high end setup...

of you could do a budget swap for up to $1000.. depending on your searching ability

what's your budget, define that first otherwise it's useless to quote you prices
