Spec Clutch Issue?

Spec Clutch Issue?
So I'm building my blue car into a full turbo drag car and we just switched the tranny. Before we switched the tranny the clutch worked great, engaged and disengaged perfectly. We took the transmission out and put it back in cause there was a problem with the replacement. After putting it back in the clutch wouldn't disengage. So we took the tranny out again and looked at the clutch and the Diaphram Springs on the Clutch plate wouldn't budge. We had a 250 pound guy stand on them and they didn't bend in the least. Took it to my buddy Anthony Dickson who races and drives pro5.0 cars and he's never seen anything like it. is this a defect, or is this normal. Everyone I've talked to haven't heard anything like it. Just wondering if I should send it back to spec as a defect, or just realize it's a normal wear thing and get a new one. Thanks for any ideas.

pressure plate fingers won't budge even if you stand on them, I'm 225 and when I stand on the clutch they don't budge, the test methood you used is not an accurate way...make sure throw out bearing is not binding on retainer and assemble clutch with alignment tool then put bellhousing up with clutch arm and TOB and then push the tranny in last = sure fire way that all is done correctly
