Ok. My fiance just left for Texas and left me his baby, a gorgeous red 91 5.0. It was an automatic and he converted it to a 5 speed last summer. He's broken two clutch cables, but things have been good so far. I drove her to work this morning (with his permission of course) and came home and all was fine. Then I went to go visit a friend and when I pushed the clutch to start the car, the clutch made a strange popping noise. It popped two or three times before the clutch was pushed all the way in. Hoping it was a freak accident, I tried again and the exact same thing. Any ideas on what this could be? And yes, I have called my fiance and told him something is wrong with his baby girl!!! lol.... Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

could br the prawl slipping on the quadrant or a cable that is about ready to snap, if the routing is improperly done and to close to the headers it may be part of the issue why cables keep going snafu......
