Default what transmission mount to use???

i have an 84 gt t top that i am putting a 87 efi 347 stroker with a t 5 transmission. and i planned on running solid engine mounts but heard a few different rumors... so i was just wondering if anyone could help me come to a conclusion. i was told that i need to run solid transmission mounts with solid engine mounts and then weld the crossmember to the floor pans as well. and then from another person i was told that it could be dangerous to run solid transmission mounts cuz possibly break the transmission case from engine torque??? i didnt know if i should buy a rubber, poly urethane, or a solid transmission mount... can someone clear this up for me? thanks... jc

you should run a stock tranny mount.

and get a dual exhaust crossmember, if you dont already have one

I just installed a Prothane trans mount. The fit nice and seems like a good quality piece. I haven't had a chance to drive the car yet however.
