guys running carberators
what type of fuel pickup are you guys running...modified stock pickup, aftermarket pickup, or sumped tank.
I am thinking about buying a aftermarket pickup, but I heard they could suck air because of the baffles in the tank. I was just wondering what you guys are running. and if you have had any problems with running the pickup. I really don't want to spend a ton of money on a sumped tank, even though they look bad ***.
thanks

I'm using an aftermarket fuel cell with a sump in it.
I've heard of lot's of folks just using the original EFI pick-up.
Don't try to use the EFI pump, way too much pressure. Holley 'blue' pump with the regulator set to about 5# pressure will work good.......

you can run the stock efi pump perfectly fine no problems what so ever, im doing it........ just gotta know what to do.... if someone would actually hook the pump straight to the carb, then they deserve to blow the bowl's right up lol, but yea theres alot more options if you have money

Here ya go. Depending on the power of your car as to how large a fuel line you need. I reduce mine from -10an to -8an. They won't air unless you olny have just a gallon of gas left in the tank. A sump is the best way to go for running a low fuel level and hard launch But I don't want that ugly crap hanging down under the back of this car. I want it to look like a street car. I always run with at least 3/4 of a tank of fuel anyway.
