will a 93 cobra tps work on a '88?
i think my stock tps is gone, so i want to put the cobra one on.

i assume it will work, but not sure. if you do put it on, make sure you set it to the right specs. i think the specs for your car are 0.9-0.95. something like that.

they are different,and i'm totally sure why,but i'd be checking if you had a tps failure code first<like joel offered>
part number's are different,but they look similiar

im getting code 63, tps signal too low. I have set the tps to .098 twice, then when i run codes its back.

switch it. you should be ok as long as you set it to the right specs
