Default What the hell is going on?

So my car has been running hot, or at least I thought it has been. Well this is sooooo f'in weird. While Im driving the temp gauge reads a little warm, but the weird thing is as soon as I turn on the lights even the parking lights the temp gauge jumps up almost a whole notch. Its not like the cars getting hotter or anything in like 2 seconds. So now Im begining to wonder if my cars running fine and my temp gauge is just screwed up a little. What the hell would cause this? How do the headlights in anyway effect the temperature gauge accuracy.

It sounds to me just like faulty wiring, there is no way that headlights should effect the engine temperature of your car.

Exactly, they dont lol. I mean how badly must you screw up the wiring in the car to make the gauge jump up when the headlights go on, the only wire that should effect the needle of the gauge is the wire from the temp sensor. Ugghhhhh, it will probobly be a good idea to put a nice set of autometer gauges in the car, I just dont trust 21 year old stock gauges anymore. And of course I have no money for that
