Default Question about Trick Flow top end kit

Ive been in the market for a h/c/i swap for a while now and the trick flow kit seems like a good investment (dyno proven 350hp 370lb/ft for $2500). I do however plan on supercharging in the future and was not sure how well a blower will work with this setup. Also i hear the cam is pretty mild so would i actually gain more power if i went with a more aggressive cam?

If you plan to supercharge in the future, here is what I recommend.

GT-40 heads (not P heads)
Steeda #19, or #20 cam (preferably a custom blower grind)
Holley Systemax 2 intake (or an Explorer GT-40 intake if you want to save money)
70mm TB
24# injectors (you will want 42# when you supercharge)
Matching MAF (pro-M)

this combo will make around 270+ rwhp, tuned, it may make more!

If you really looked around and took your time shopping for the parts on this list. You could do it for $1000 or less!

and the TFS kit doesnt make 350hp... ask around on here, many people have failed to break 290 with it. So where woud you rather spend the $1500 difference..

buy the tfs kit... $2500
buy MY kit, ~$1000... then put the other $1500 into suspension, or towards the blower you want

Good post Keith, imo he could get a nicer set of heads though for more gains before and after the supercharger.

The TFS kit will not make even close to 350hp. I made 271rwhp & 311rwtq using the Trickflow kit(have an AODE & ran a box stock GT-40 intake). It's a good kit, but like Adder said, you make a better deal by scrapping up your own parts. As for heads, though, I would get aluminum, especially with the blower. Unlike iron, the aluminum will help dissipate heat more effectively and thus, will help to prevent detonation/pinging. As for the cam, the TFS-1 is the perfect choice for the blower. However, the TFS-2 has been said to work great with a blower. Custom will be your best bet though. My idea, Trickflow heads, custom blower cam, Holley Systemax Intake, Vortech V2(2.95 SC pulley) w/UPR Boostmaster pipe and all the fuel mods. Then say hello to mid-low 11's@120+.

tfs kits are for those who don't wanna research and want everything to show up on their door step in one order, then comes the 2500, under achievement on the dyno latter, 350 is at the crank on a stand with no accessories, add all that into the equation and 280-290 max rwhp., ask yourself what is your goal with the car??
