see how much run out is in it, grab it and see how much up and down or side to side play there is.

most likely not the prob then, make sure all the u-joints are tight too

that may be where the looseness is. could it be a wheel bearing?

seeing that its an rpm dependent vibration then no its no a wheel bearing. Have you check your timing lately, maybe your balancers old and spun on you???

well the mounts look good and timing is correct but when i put it in reverse and give it alot of gas the shifter kicks sideways and you hear a clunk. so im leaning towards a mount.

UPDATE: vibration i believe is a motormount causing the exhaust to rattle around since its already touching the top of the fenderwell.

but the whining starts at 60 and gets louder the faster i go. it seems to change tones when i move the steering wheel slightly.
